Facebook places | RMN memories

Facebook recently announced its newest location based feature called "places." It is the talk of the town. We are starting to play around with the API to see how we can integrate it with RMN. We'll keep you posted. Check out this article in The San Francisco Chronicle and pay close attention to the part about memories. We'll be announcing something cool about memories soon too...it is not what you think...it is way cooler...stay tuned.

If a picture is worth 1000 words, what are 1000 pictures worth to musicians?

webdev2.0 site profile of RMN

We just learned about this cool site that profiled RMN and shows recent activity on fb and twitter. We are at 4.5 stars on the review.

RMN back up

We completed theupgrade to our new fancy load balancer. Please let us know if anything seems quirky. Thanks for your patience. (The site was down for about 15 minutes).

Scheduled Upgrade Tomorrow

RMN will be down for approximately 30 minutes around 11am EST tomorrow for a scheduled upgrade. For the nerds out there, we are deploying a new load balancer with sticky sessions for our write cluster. We have been testing it on our staging environment and it is great. Pretty soon we will open up our API so you can know what "our write cluster" means. You may have noticed more scheduled upgrades recently. We are ramping up for the new release of RMN and a few major deals that we will announce shortly. Stay tuned.

AppAppeal Review

AppAppeal gave us a really nice write up but not a very strong star rating. They like the design a lot. I believe the next version of RMN (which is coming soon - I promise) will definitely bump the star rating up a whole lot.

Scheduled maintenance today around 3pm

RMN will be down for about an hour this afternoon while we upgrade to Amazon Web Services (AWS) Relational Database Service (RDS). We have been testing it out on our staging environment and it seems amaz(on)ing. Let's hope the upgrade on production goes smoothly.

Facebook connect having issues

UPDATE:
Facebook fixed this on their end. Everything should be fine now. Let us know if it is not.

ORIGINAL POST:
You might have noticed today that connecting to RecreateMyNight.com is a little quirky. When you click "Start" sometimes nothing happens. Facebook is aware of this bug and is working on fixing it. The quick work around is to hit refresh on your browser. We just rolled out a fix that will avoid this problem if it occurs in the future. I also want to give everyone an "insider's heads up" that we are working on version 2 of RMN and it will be awesome and will not require you to login every time. This is a secret. shhh....
